The US, UK, and Australia pledge net zero by 2050, so we are supposed to be carbon NEUTRAL by 2050. yet Israel’s bombing of Gaza in 2 months released CO2 equivalent to the annual footprint of 20 countries. It’s estimated they dropped 45,000 bombs dropped in 90 days. Hypocrisy at its peak—it is impossible for the path to net zero to be paved with bombs

This gets my remaining 1264 $farther - a world without war is the only way to reach the SDGs... Spent way too much time today resisting attempts by neo-con family members to convince me that voting for a candidate whose administration is currently providing materiel support to the perpetrators of ethnic cleansing and other crimes against humanity is, somehow the "less of two evils," and the application of "utilitarian"' ethics. Other jaw-dropping assertions included: 1. Student protestors ought not link their arms in the face of police brutality... 2. Divestment "just doesn't work," and 3. When Zelensky says some of his neighbor's territory must be seized to create a buffer zone, that's OK - but when Kremlin spox Dmitry Petrov says same thing, well, that's clearly NOT acceptable... Is anyone else hearing this sort of thing from educated, Democratic elites?
