My dad has vascular dementia. He doesn’t remember much anymore. But he does remember something - how much he loves my mom. Just a brief reminder to hug the ones you love. 🤙🏼

That's really heartwarming. I'll be sharing this with my wife. Our grandmother is going down this path, too, and we're conscious it may be in our own futures. Very sorry to hear that your Dad is facing this now, but it is wonderful to see a man do so with such grace, dignity, and humor - he sets a great example for us all, and reminds many of us how trivial our daily struggles are in the big picture. He's lucky to have such family members at his side, and must take pride in knowing his legacy will endure. Strength to you all in these trying times.

Thank you. That is the one blessing in all of this. He has such a great attitude even though he knows something is wrong. He said the other day “I feel like there’s nothing in my head. It feels empty.” And even with all that he still smiles and laughs and shows love. It’s neat because I feel like it’s his subconscious coming out a bit. Appreciate your kind words. 🙏🏻
