The closest Ethereum's had to downtime is some large gas spikes, but that's:
1. unavoidable in a permissionless protocol
2. still way better than even 10m of hard downtime, let alone 4h+
3. mitigated by upcoming L1 scaling

Users treat exuberant fees as a defacto liveness failure. To those users Ethereum was down for all of 2021.  Ethereum fees were so bad that 99.5% reliability but guaranteed low cost was better, and thats how solana managed to get pmf.

But let's be honest, the pmf was pumpfun. That started the flywheel which catapulted our bags.

Again, I like solana, but I feel the ecosystem is turning stagnant now. A lot of shitcoin factories and mass extraction.

Never held Solana before (married to EVM), but I picked up a small stack today.

They've a solid dev community &amp; huge ecosystem. I'm rooting for them to come out kicking.
