ETHBTC capitulated below the supertrend. Big oof. Hopefully we find our way back up above, but damn does it hurt seeing the President of the US launching his shitcoin on another chain.

Some people think it brings legitimacy to the space. But inevitably, when people lose a bunch of money, it’s going to just add more ammunition to crypto’s opposition and reinforce the general public’s view the crypto is a scam.

90%+ of crypto is a casino. Successful memecoins essentially are just casinos with good odds which bring liquidity to chains; @0x52basedpepe for example was very successful on base w/o utility needed. The liquidity rotates, and some finds its way in to funding the 10% of crypto that's utility. Memecoins help us all.

I don’t disagree. I’m talking about the narrative in mainstream media though. If a known grifter/convicted felon turned President launches a token and eventually rugs a bunch of people, it just feeds into the narrative that crypto shouldn’t be taken seriously.
