Hong Kong’s Privacy Commissioner recently deemed the project’s data collection practices “unnecessary and excessive,” leading to a cease operation directive. Similarly, Spain, Portugal, and Kenya have restricted Worldcoin’s operations, and investigations are underway in India, South Korea, and Germany.
