Heaven Official's Blessing Special This special is a direct continuation to the 12 episode Tian Guan Ci Fu series. It is a slower paced episode based on character development and oh boy, does it do this in spades. Watching this was like watching a flower start to bloom, petal by petal, unfurling in slow motion. Conversations fully laden with meaning. Restraint. The slow unveiling of a mystery. And then ... the montage with the revelation that you might or might not miss towards the end, is like the flower blooming in full. I was stunned at the beauty and the realization of what it meant. https://myanimelist.net/anime/44070/Tian_Guan_Cifu_Special

Laid-Back Camp Season 2 Chill, satisfying, and fulfilling are three words I would use to describe Yuru Camp 2 or Yuru Camp in general. Giving a relaxing vibe, Yuru Camp 2 is an easy-to-watch anime for everyone who is having a bad day or is going through something unpleasant. The production team did a promising job to retain all good elements of the series and even improving them in the process. In this season, Yuru camp focuses on the Yamanashi and Shizuoka prefecture instead of the Yamanashi prefecture previously featured in season one, which introduces beaches and the sea to the series. This season also introduces a new element, geosites (or geospots, as referenced in the series), which can be helpful if you would want to keep track and reference them in real life. https://myanimelist.net/anime/38474/Yuru_Camp%E2%96%B3_Season_2

Revue Starlight: The Movie The visuals are great and the soundtrack is fantastic. The plot has a heavy amount of symbolism that leads a lot up to interpretation but it's performed in several flashy revue scenes more grand then the anime that preceded it. The characters are all in their final year of seisho and are considering their future plans and graduation. Unlike the previous anime that centered around each competing for the lead this movie serves to give closure and depth to each character by forcing them to acknowledge their flaws. https://myanimelist.net/anime/40664/Shoujo%E2%98%86Kageki_Revue_Starlight_Movie

Attack on Titan Season 2 Snk season 2 picks up right where season 1 left off, and it give the viewers a bit more insight about the titans in the walls. The thing with snk is that its story is slowly unravelling for both the characters and the viewers, we learn of the ape titan that can speak and that titans obey his orders, we also learn that without a doubt titans are humans, we learn that Ymir who is now known as a titan shifter knows a lot of secrets that she is hiding and that she is over 60 years old. We also got the reveal of the arrmored and the iconic collosal titan which are characters that we saw from the very first season, this really should be the turning point for many persons that this series is not just about humans fighting titans https://myanimelist.net/anime/25777/Shingeki_no_Kyojin_Season_2

Steins;Gate 0 The anime adaptation also added a significant amount of original content that was not present in the VN. Episode 8 turned a half hour part of the VN into a full episode, and the feels knob is turned up to 11 as a result, Daru and Yuki's relationship is expanded in a very wholesome OC episode (which pulls double duty for expanding Daru and Yuki's characters, as well as writing out a very very dumb plot twist from the VN), and once Mayuri's route starts going you get a sizeable chunk of the Drama CD Arc-Light of the Point at Infinity, which was equally as impactful as Faris' route in the original in terms of expanding the character of someone who was barely a blip on the radar and turned them into one of the best of the show. Thank you White Fox for reinforcing why I love Mayushii so much. https://myanimelist.net/anime/30484/Steins_Gate_0

I Want To Eat Your Pancreas In the beginning we are introduced to our 2 main characters Sakura (dont confuse her with sakura from naruto) and our main protagonist a bookworm an antisocial guy who doesnt care about anything and just reads books all day, turns out Sakura is dying her pancreas isnt working wich causes her to slowly die, in the first dialogue she says it is the title of the movie "I want to eat your pancreas" i thought her next sentence would be "We are Venom" but the protagonist was lucky. Sakura wants someone who will treat her with normalcy while knowing about her secret so she hangs out with the protagonist. The ending was great, it wasnt the death that made it great it was what happened after that. https://myanimelist.net/anime/36098/Kimi_no_Suizou_wo_Tabetai

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Part 3 Hirohiko Araki's story is adapted faithfully. If you've read the original work, you're experiencing the same great story here. It could be argued that Stone Ocean's anime is faithful to a fault; the previous two anime adaptations did a lot of work in the pre-production phase to iron out any wrinkles (e.g. inconsistencies, small story/flow changes) in order to improve the viewing experience. Stone Ocean stays mostly untouched apart from a few welcome changes. https://myanimelist.net/anime/53273/JoJo_no_Kimyou_na_Bouken_Part_6__Stone_Ocean_Part_3

Nana The story itself focuses on two young ladies named Nana and how they came to know each other and connected through the similar experiences they share in life. The first couple episodes introduces the main characters involved and spends an equal amount of time giving us some background on each Nana, then showing how they became acquainted. Then the main story kicks in, which actually feels more like 2 separate stories connected only through the strong bond of friendship between the both of them. https://myanimelist.net/anime/877/Nana

Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki Wolf Children The movie goes on to show the plights Hana must persevere through, as a mother of two young children who are both wolf and human. There are many moments that range from both sad to humorous (such as when Hana debates whether to take her sick child to the vet or the children's hospital). Overall, the goal of the film is to be both a coming of age story (for Ame and Yuki), as well as a showcase of how hard Hana works to provide for her two young children – a tribute to mothers themselves. She gives up nearly everything for her young, and if Ame and Yuki were not werewolves, I would say the story is completely realistic. The relatively few fantasy components do not do much to diminish the poignancy of the movie, though. https://myanimelist.net/anime/12355/Ookami_Kodomo_no_Ame_to_Yuki

Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl As for the story, it was overall satisfying but felt a little bit emotionally manipulative at times. Can't say too much without getting into spoiler territory, but there is lots of melodrama to be experienced here. Lots of Korean drama/soap opera-level things happen to make the viewer as sympathetic to the characters as possible. Outside of a few jokes towards the beginning of the film, most of the story was very dark and heavy in tone. In fact, a grown man sitting behind me in the theater was bawling his eyes out during the last act. Things also get somewhat cliche and contrived to make sure all the character arcs have a fairly satisfying conclusion. It will be a good ending for diehard fans, while more cynical viewers may just roll their eyes at all the melodrama that happens. I'd say give it a watch and decide for yourself! https://myanimelist.net/anime/38329/Seishun_Buta_Yarou_wa_Yumemiru_Shoujo_no_Yume_wo_Minai

Mushishi Zoku Shou: Suzu no Shizuku In Suzu No Shizuku we watch as Ginko encounters a young human who was born a Master of the mountain. We see the troubles she's going through as her family searches for her and the Low of Nature eventually decides she was not good enough. Ginko tries to save her, letting her become a normal human, by sacrificing himself, but fails, as she decides that her fate is to become part of the mountain again. The story, sadly, does not give us a complete conclusion as Ginko, once again, walks off the find more people in need of help, by the end. https://myanimelist.net/anime/28957/Mushishi_Zoku_Shou__Suzu_no_Shizuku

Delicious in Dungeon The story is where Dungeon Meshi truly shines, blending humor, suspense, and heartwarming moments seamlessly. The adventurers' journey to save their companion is not only thrilling but also deeply emotional, as it explores themes of friendship, courage, and sacrifice. The animation is stunning, with fluid motion and detailed backgrounds that bring the fantasy world to life. The dungeon itself is a fascinating setting, filled with all manner of creatures and challenges that the characters must overcome, adding a sense of adventure and danger to their quest. Overall, Dungeon Meshi is a masterpiece with captivating characters, an engaging story, and beautiful animation. It's a show that I can't recommend enough, and one that I always find myself coming back to. https://myanimelist.net/anime/52701/Dungeon_Meshi

Natsume's Book of Friends Season 6 Like every season, Natsume Yuujinchou plays to it's strengths. It's a very relaxing anime. It's quiet, slow(for good reasons), full of lovable characters. It's a vibe, a very spirtual vibe that it gives off through it's country side atmosphere and it's fantasy elements. It sometimes gets pretty dark and mysterious which adds a lot of flavor to this show. The storytelling in every episode is superb, It's always fresh and simple, The use of symbolism and Goblins to tell a new tale every episode shows how well scripted and cohesive it is. Every season it slowly pushes the story, this time it got to a point that a lot of people were biting their nails for a pretty long time, and they kinda ended it there, so I can't wait to see what happens next, I might read this manga before Attack on titan if they don't make any announcements soon. https://myanimelist.net/anime/34591/Natsume_Yuujinchou_Roku

Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul The movie picks up right after the end of the first season and covers everything in the 5th layer expanding on what the finale of the previous season built up to and does it beautifully. I was initially worried when Kinema shifted from a traditional season to movie format but boy did it deliver while only cutting out very few things from the manga original story while adding in another scene for some additional context. Getting into the main elements of this movie, animation and the soundtrack are of course an absolute masterpiece to watch and listen to. The characters really managed to capture everything I love about seeing them dive down deeper into this hellhole and the story still instills that sense of wonder and imagination while answering questions but raising even more about whats really down there at the bottom and why the curse does so much to the human mind and body. https://myanimelist.net/anime/36862/Made_in_Abyss_Movie_3__Fukaki_Tamashii_no_Reimei

Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 Personally, this arc was different compared to the other arcs. The story and the enemies were bizarre, and this arc was also definitely a pretty long one considering most bsd arcs are only a few episodes long or at maximum a season worth. Despite this, the plot twist at last as well as the short time-skip scene that leads to the next arc was effective and delivered strong. The ending and the battle scenes in this season showed the strong bonds and friendships, as well as the rivalry between the characters. Despite already being introduced to Fukuchi already, the last episode really showed his true intentions, and the relationship between him and Fukuzawa (including their pasts). https://myanimelist.net/anime/54898/Bungou_Stray_Dogs_5th_Season

Natsume's Book of Friends Season 4 The story, though it has less big moments than Keanu Reeves's Career, still packs a punch when it needs to, usually, at the beginning and near the end. The largely episodic series can sometimes be seen as forgettable but always somehow nostalgic. The show also has a very apparent lack of seriousness that one would think would add something to the show. I mean, everything is pretty much comic relief, and nothing, not even the scary yokai of the day, ever really ends up being evil. In fact, an antagonist of sorts, Matoba, though seemingly made out to be a big bad guy, is never seen killing anyone or any yokai, and rather just a guy who is shady. Personally, the show feels childish because of this, but that is one of its many charms. https://myanimelist.net/anime/11665/Natsume_Yuujinchou_Shi
