@microsub is shutting down indefinitely. it is no longer a priority for me and i can’t afford the resources required to keep an unprofitable service operating. moreover, recent developments with the $DEGEN token and its leadership don’t give me hope that our values will ever align; it is never acceptable to take someone’s money and then retroactively change a deal. i don’t condone this behavior and don’t wish to be associated with the project. i have a lot of respect for @jacek, owe him a lot, and hope he learns from his mistakes; i wish him well. with that said, i don’t claim ownership of the code, systems, or knowledge used to create /microsub and its systems. they belong to Farcaster — they belong to you. if you’re interested in resurrecting the project in some way and have the skills to do so, i’m happy to advise; reply to this post or send me a direct cast. thank you to everyone who supported me, this project, and other creators on Farcaster. our work is far from finished. 🫡

same for me. i can’t justify operating costs, time, and effort to build on degen. they’re pivoting away from being the “official” tipping coin of farcaster. unique tippers and total tips per day are at an all-time lows. the stake-to-get-allowance update shattered the ecosystem, and decreasing daily tips to 1m made it even worse. i’ll wait for the next pivot or a rollback to the openrank/neynar user score allowance system and watch the metrics. for now, it’s just not worth it.
