We visited Bitcoin Ekasi in Mossel Bay, South Africa - a circular Bitcoin economy built within a township community.

The model is simple but powerful: pay local surf coaches in Bitcoin, then help township vendors accept BTC payments, creating a sustainable local crypto economy.

At the heart of Bitcoin Ekasi are two goals: expanding The Surfer Kids' youth empowerment through financial education, and proving Bitcoin can make a real impact in underserved communities.
