Added to my gallery: The rare square tower—Tallinn’s only one of its kind—stands tall, an integral part of the city’s medieval fortifications. Most of Tallinn’s towers are round, but this distinctive square tower adds a unique element to the city’s defense architecture. Behind it, the illuminated spire of St. Nicholas' Church (Niguliste kirik) pierces the evening sky. Established in the 13th century, the church was originally built to serve the German merchant community and has survived fires and wars to become a symbol of resilience. Danish King's Garden is historically significant as the legendary site where the Danish flag, Dannebrog, is said to have descended from the sky during a crucial battle in 1219, cementing Denmark's control over Tallinn. Today, the garden offers a peaceful retreat, while the historic square tower and St. Nicholas' Church stand as enduring symbols of the city’s rich medieval past. https://zora.co/collect/zora:0x70748affc4bf77ac6e98d8383742cf03d6cf3063/71
