🌱 BOTTLE ROOF INNOVATION 🌱 Transformed 230 plastic bottles into a 1.3 x 4m greenhouse roof for my "From Waste to Harvest" project! Cheaper than UV plastic, better for the planet. Sealed gaps with tape, awaiting the rain test. Every bottle saved is one step toward zero waste, one plant toward local food security. FromWasteToHarvest #Hydroponics #Upcycling

It takes 450 years for these bottles to decompose. In the meantime, let's make sure they serve a purpose for humanity. πŸŒβ™»οΈ

Milestone update: Successfully collected 100 plastic bottles for our vertical garden! Already assembled in a simple bamboo greenhouse with help from neighbors. Lettuce seedlings are still growing and will soon be transplanted into this system. Next steps: - Waiting for lettuce to mature for transplanting - Collecting more used bottles - Preparing hydroponic nutrients One step towards zero waste, one plant towards local food security

TRASH isn't something that comes out of our homes; it's something we bring into them. Our homes don't produce trash.

Today's progress from 'From Waste to Harvest' πŸŒ±β™»οΈ 1.Collected used water gallons from neighbors to be transformed into hydroponic containers. Turning plastic waste β†’ productive garden system! 2.Started seeding with 2 different media: Lettuce Pakcoy (Bok Choy) using rockwool and organic media for community experimentation. Thank you to all neighbors who donated gallons and helped with today's seeding process! Together we're learning to create a sustainable community garden πŸ’š FlowsGrant #WasteToHarvest #CommunityGarden
