JUST IN: 🇷🇺 Russian BTC-e co-founder to be released from 🇺🇸 U.S. custody Alexander Vinnik, co-founder of Bitcoin exchange BTC-e, will be released Wednesday as part of a broader U.S.-Russia deal that also freed American Marc Fogel, a U.S. official confirmed. Vinnik, accused of running a key platform for cybercrime, was awaiting sentencing in the U.S. after pleading guilty to money laundering conspiracy. He is now set for transport to Russia.
