Yeah, there's an algorithm.

If you have a power badge your posts go to the top of the channels and if you don't your posts are hidden in the Warpcast app by default.

You can change it but it's basically shadow banning the majority of people.

Also there's suspicion that some users just permanently get a badge due to their existing reputation in crypto, there's people who never post but still have a badge.

And that you can lose it by pissing off the devs.

I lost mine after posting a little less for like 4 days..

You get a power badge by interacting with people with power badges and having them like or recast your posts, if you get one and don't interact with other power badge users enough, you lose it.

I had mine for like three weeks or so. 

It's basically penalizing people for not interacting with the "right" accounts.
