Our commitment and resolve to train amazing devs for the ecosystem is still intact, and we will continue to give it our best. As the opening of Web3bridge garage is scheduled for May 29th, we have selected the same day as the closing ceremony of the cohort, which makes it a double celebration. On this day, devs from the cohort will speak about their experience and also present their final projects to the ecosystem. We have already started assessment for cohort XIII and are confident of another great result from Web3bridge.

Within the last 16 weeks, the team and mentors have done a great job in ensuring the smooth running of the cohort. During the cohort one of the mentors taught classes till the day she got into labor and delivered her baby girl and i just discovered this evening that the alumni we invited to replace her got into a tragic accident and was in and out of surgery when we invited him to take over the class and he never mentioned any of this but joyfully carried on the class and gave his best. This shocking revelation affirms how committed the alumni at Web3bridge are to the success of the program. It's also a good time to say big thanks to everyone Lisk for coming in and supporting initiaves that ensure that Africa have a long term continous growth as well as friend at Ethereum Foundations that keep supporting the ecosystem.

On Saturday, the 4th of May, we officially closed the cohort XII of Web3bridge sponsored by @lisk with support from @ethereumfndn The cohort, which started with 74 Web3 participants & 127 participants across Web2 basic and advanced class, closed on Saturday with 39 Web3 devs, 46 Web2 advanced devs, and 17 Web2 Basic devs. Within the 16 weeks of the cohort, 2054 onchain attendance was signed using Classmate (our class management app), while 1050 smart contracts were deployed on Lisk and Ethereum within the learning scope. It's great to mention that participants from the cohort were from different states in Nigeria, Kenya & Togo and this continue to drive our reach into East & West Africa and across both Anglophone and Francophone countries in Africa.

Web3bridge has committed the last 5+years to training @ethereum devs in Africa. Focused on training smart contract and solidity devs, we have supported the training of ZK devs, bringing support to Rust devs and to improve productivity and impact, we have just finished the construction of the garage; halls, board rooms, co-working space which was funded by @optimismgrants and support from @lisk

Been here for a while and think it's time to make an introduction! I'm Ayodeji, also called Ebunayo, I'm a community manager, founder and program director at Web3bridge. I got into the Blockchain ecosystem in 2017 chasing airdrops, decided to focus on contributing to Web3 in 2018 as community manager and support before founding Web3bridge in 2019. Won't be wrong to say Web3bridge has been the single largest program/bootcamp in Africa thoroughly onboarding Ethereum developers. With Web3bridge Alumni spread all over various teams and Countries, we are committed and resolve to onboarding more developers. Let's talk and happy to connect
