Will Web3 redefine filmmaking by enabling communities to fund and co-create a blockbuster on the scale of Harry Potter or Star Wars? Appreciate @cdixon.eth's point on utilizing tokens to evolve fan communities into active participants and overcome the problems with costly traditional Hollywood marketing methods.

Ooo interesting, the development process on your site offers good insight. So to summarize, the macroverse NFT lets the community submit and vote on story ideas, the winning stories are developed further and creators share in rev upside? What's been the biggest challenge so far?

Great question. We’ve done a good job mitigating this but the biggest challenge we’ve seen across many different iterations of community or fandom driven storytelling is the lack of a “franchise showrunner” which we think is critical.

The skill set to run a writers room of hundreds rather than a small group is a unique combination of story and world building, consensus negotiation and idea curation. It’s challenging and when it works it’s Awesome!

Lol a regular writing room already sounds hard to run, but a decentralized writing room sounds waaaay harder

No doubt. It’s why we are bullish on that skill set being one to lean into and train people in as we scale projects, IP and community.
