Bee update. The nesting tubes are filling up! Each one will have 6-8 eggs, which will eventually hatch, become larvae, then pupae, which will build cocoons and transform Into next yearsβ bees. Check out at the little bees resting, waiting for it to warm up a bit more before doing their thing. π

No. I'm not harvesting honey or anything, so I mainly just observe them until it's time to collect the cocoons (at which points all the bees have probably flown off to die). And mason bees are known for being very docile, and since they don't have a hive or queen they are protecting, they really don't have a reason to sting.
