After 7,749 turns, Montenegro decided to extradite Do Kwon to the US

Finally, the Attorney General of Montenegro signed an order to extradite Do Kwon to the US. This is the end of a winding journey between courts and political controversies that has lasted more than a year.

Do Kwon's lawyers once proposed to extradite him to Korea, where the maximum sentence for financial crimes is usually 30 to 40 years. On the contrary, if he goes to America, Do Kwon risks receiving much more serious sentences.

Not only is it legally complicated, Do Kwon's extradition case is also involved in a political scandal in Montenegro. The former Attorney General once accused the Prime Minister of favoring Kwon's extradition to Korea, due to his shady financial relationship with Do Kwon.
