Introducing Trending Topics

Algorithmic collections of casts about topics people are talking about. They update a few times per day.

Mobile only to start. Update to the latest version of Warpcast from the your app store and restart your app 1-2x. 

Topics will appear on the search tab and in your feed while you're scrolling. 

We’re running this as an experiment in Warpcast for the next couple months.

> Are these channels?

Trending topics **are not** channels. They are collections casts about a popular topic identified by an AI-powered algorithm. Channels have no bearing on trending topics.

> Are the topics on the protocol?

The casts themselves are on the protocol but the categorization and feeds are generated by Warpcast. There are developer tools like @mbd that can provide this for your app.

Gn amigo :) What do you think about this? Yay or nay? I like the way it’s not pushy but kind of intriguing 😅 Butttt I would super enjoy being able to choose whose casts to appear in the top of my feed. Is this already possible?

Actually, why would I want that? It’s like saying no to going on a great adventure and not being inclusive at all. I guess I like the new feature haha. There. Glad I got that sorted out :D

It works for me actually.
And the answer is no, you can't select wich casts appear on your feed. This is the algo selection who decide it. But you can select the FOLLOWING TAB of your timeline and this is different to your default selection. Anyway, you will select the next content you get with each action you do into your timeline.😉
