TIL Spotify makes their own.... DAW? I wonder if people actually use this software or if it's just a tool you need to use to upload visuals or promo for a song 🤔

Oh cool, I've used Soundtrap, didn't realize it was owned by Spotify It actually has a pretty good mobile interface, iirc

ohh is this just a tool they bought? makes sense given they're introducing short-form content onto their mobile app to help users discover new songs. what did you use the app for -- to make songs?

Ya looks like they bought it in 2017 A friend recommended it to me a few years ago as a way to work collaboratively on production You can drag and drop different drum & instrument samples together really easily and create something OK without much prior experience
