🧵taking live notes from today’s farcaster dev call!

as always it seems like the top priority is growth, but rn this is moreso growth for channels(@dwr.eth has been talking to folks about this)

rough preview in the screenshot for channel invites(as opposed to a more user focused model like Bluesky’s starter packs)

building products onchain, hacking /farhack, yapping /dylan | dylansteck.com

feeds 

continuing to run a/b tests, no crazy changes to report rn

also some notes re: algo vs reverse chron feed, what other apps like Threads saw on Election Day, etc

focusing on the best experience, other feeds are opportunities for other clients

transactions

- working internally on the new version of frames that was shared the other week(app frames), goal is to have a revised spec by the end of the week
- prototyping embedded wallet transaction experience for users without a connected wallet(and MWP continued to be support)

note: the current frame model will still be supported as well

Reducing Sign Up Costs

Spam model is stable, plan is to propose reducing sign up cost within the next month

Hubs

- Shipped both location and X verifications to hubs/the protocol
- Snapchain update: happy on design and now heads down building snapchain(repo on GH, will find the link), want a super simple alpha version then will go from there
