👋👋👋 I’ll start with the differences between CTG & HQ:

1. Video: I never wanted to include live video in CTG.

While we treated it like a show (production, airtimes, live interactivity), I wanted to eliminate factors associated with video that could have caused this to be dead on arrival (bad host, stream glitches, cringeworthy music, poor lighting, etc). Scott was HQ's secret sauce, and no other clone's host can compare.

3. Seasonality: You can't eat at the same Michelin-starred restaurant every single night and expect to maintain the excitement from the first or second time. 

That's what happened with HQ, and that's why we're embracing seasonality with CTG.

Just like TV shows, right when you remember how much you loved the last season, we'll be back with a new one, so you're not playing this thing all day, every day, forever.

Difficulty: Most HQ players churned after 2-3 games because they didn't feel like they could win. 

MFL's win in S1 of CTG proves that you don't need to be good at every challenge to win. I've also seen a ton of CTG players who have lost say they can't wait to play again and even if they don't win, it'll be worth it.

2. Payments: This one's obvious, but at HQ, we saw the pain points of using PayPal to pay winners firsthand, from long turnaround times to high fees, to withdrawal minimums. 

“Crypto fixes this” has become a meme, but it's true. I couldn't imagine building a game that pays its winners on any other payment rail.
