PSA on Farcaster usernames (fnames)

- Existing active users will keep them with the mainnet migration

- Inactive and squatted usernames will be released after migration; we will swap if you previously requested

- Remember, fnames are free and centrally managed; use ENS if you want a decentralized option

When ens expires what happens to the ens fname?

fnames are offchain CCIP Read ENS names so they don't expire

If you set an ENS and it expires, we can fall back to your fname

If for whatever reason you don't have either (would be rare) you'd be referred to by your FID (a number)

What is the fname parent domain? For example can we resolve mason.farcaster.eth using CCIP Read?

I believe we landed on fcast.id, but this is not live yet. Should happen after the mainnet migration.
