If you think Elon is just a “marketer”, you’ve never built something of significance. And thinking that doesn’t make you a sycophant.

It’s an increasingly difficult position and world for Musk as he systematically reveals he has the taste of a rebellious 12-year-old discovering eBaum’s world in 2002. I don’t know many who want to be marketed the taste of such an undeveloped individual.

Except consumer revealed preference is people love Teslas. And SpaceX is the only organization that has figured out how to re-use rockets. :)

SpaceX is fine, no arguments there. I think the consumers you’re talking about already revealed their preference by buying previously, but what of the multiple price drops in recent days? And I see many selling, rushing to get out of their Elon-mobiles, as he’s put quite a distaste in many gullets lately.

Price drops are because of the IRA tax credit. Tesla is >50% of the EV market!

I think that's more because Tesla had a decade+ head start on making/selling EVs. For example, there's literally ~no EV you can get in Canada in under 2 years (everything is sold out and backordered) except for Tesla which is available in 2-4 weeks or off-the-lot today. Has been true for a year+.
