What is the active caster badge used for?  Why keep upping the requirements?  Why not have a badge (bronze/silver/gold) for num followers?

It’s meant to convey roughly top 10% on the network

Feedback: I’d be much more annoyed to lose active user status than top 10% status.

Perhaps you could change the name?

If that's the purpose of the badge, then I would suggest renaming it to something like "top casters", instead of "active". The name "active" implies only that a user posts regularly.
