There's still a wide gap between slick consumer crypto UX prototype and day-to-day practicality. e.g. Passkeys β€” amazing when they work on the happy path, but plenty of instances where they don't sync, don't work cross platform Optimistic that the underlying infrastructure will continue to improve in the next 12-18 months. Hopefully in apps and well-tested by the next cycle.

Email is 20y battle-tested. Passkeys got released yesterday. Email allows for and are expected for re-engagement. Wallets and passkeys are a black hole for churning users. For sure they will improve but rn it’s kind of nuts not to be asking for an email IMHO

I'm honestly not a fan of passkeys as they exist today and not convinced that relying on passkeys as the default is the way to go for crypto UX
