How do changes to the Farcaster protocol work? TL;DR — "rough consensus and running code", emphasis on the running code part. 1. Propose with an FIP, get feedback 2. Write the PR that could be merged into Hubs 3. Have a prototype in a client (a local branch with a screen recording) 4. Alternatively, create a convention using existing primitives and demonstrate some early traction / usage with your client or even users on Warpcast https://docs.farcaster.xyz/learn/contributing/governance

If a node hasn't been updated for a long time, will it gradually die out or maintain its basic initial functions? I manually pulled and updated a long cast today.
