gm @dwr.eth, what’s the best course of action to help remove disgusting scammers like @0xissuedavid from FC? The ppl who DM and try to lure u to phishing sites? Feels bad when folks and especially newcomers fall for that. The current reporting function doesn’t feel efficient enough. We need crowdsourced power.

Also, I’d like to control who can DM me: either switch off entirely (perhaps this should be the default), only people I follow, only accounts that meet certain criteria etc. There’s room for innovation. We should make it unattractive for scammers to roam around here.

I didn’t realize. Good first step IMO. It implies that I probably followed some scammers b4hand because it’s not the first time I was direct casted w/ the exact same scheme. It all starts with these folks asking whether you have some experience in web3, and want a job.

I had the same experience multiple times there's a need for an option to completely TURN OFF DC, which is very common on many micro-blogging platforms to set DM off, and for crypto ppl communications over addresses generally have a high volume of scam attempts on any protocol.

Was more of a proposal for enhancing UX generally. Personally, I have more paths, like injecting client code to modify behavior, I have been doing it with many apps/web apps for years and I never looked back. Is a great way for ppl to fight against things they don't approve of in apps at an individual level.
