A new proposal from @christopher to geolocation to casts using Geo URIs in embeds

This is a great idea - we should standardize on the format so it works across clients.

i see no way how it makes the experience better

the ethos of web3 revolves around pseudonimity. We need to build more privacy directly into the network or at least client

users shouldn’t have to VPN to open an app on their phone

what info can we remove to make it more private and encourage reputation building?

You would have to give that client access to your location on either iOS or Android at the system level. Plenty of consumer safeguards here.

still its concerning that it’ll exist and could be/likely will be abused by clients in the future

I guess that’ll be on us to suss out before we adopt a new client
