Lower priority feature requests - Pinned casts on profiles - Edit casts - Animated PFPs All are nice to have features but don’t solve an immediate top priority

re: increasing supply of interesting content I would add to this quoted cast - recasting replies seems to do nothing at all, yet people do it all the time - lack of virality in recasts could be a reason why @coolvids churned https://warpcast.com/sdv.eth/0x9147bb56

Recasts get treated as a cast from the recaster by the home feed algo.

I personally don't recall seeing a vanilla recast on my home screen, nor do we see list of who recasted other people's casts

Maybe it’s a UI thing because from personal experience (and combing through recasts/replies tab of big accounts) it seems like quote casts actually behave this way and get engagement on par with regular casts from the user. Whereas recasts appear to be walled behind heuristics before actually surfacing, at best getting an extra couple likes. And I don’t think I’ve once ever seen a standalone reply on the home feed. If treated like root casts I would expect recasts (and other metrics) to quickly compound, as do viral tweets. I’ve only seen this in growth hacked frames that require likes + recasts to work; otherwise the usual signal boosted casts I’ve seen are via quote casts, not recasts. I don’t mean to nag if under the hood it’s working as intended. Maybe the network is too small still and this is just a consequence of that. I won’t bring it up again unless one day you’re openly asking for feedback on recasts!
