In the “trending” tab, the casts were based on engagement/time, right?. Thus, even casts with little engagement appeared even if for a short time. Now, in “main” only content appears from people I already follow or who have a powerbadge. Therefore, it is almost impossible to receive new things.

It depends! If the channel is moderated, then it's whatever the moderator wants to put in the main feed.

Wouldn't there be a possibility of a third option? How did trending work? This way, everyone could decide how to access content. Since in the recents tab it became impossible due to the amount of bots and in the main it was so restricted. I would like to have an option to allow me to interact with people I don't know.
