Observations about channel changes a few days in

- People seem to be happy with Main feeds
- People don't like Recent since it's unfiltered and spammy
- Can't use hide since it doesn't scale in decentralized protocol
- If you filter recent, people complain of "shadow banning"

when it comes to channels I think more options would help

e.g. Reddit has popular (default), rising, all time best, and recent

something like rising to highlight new good recent casts in a filtered way without gating on power badge in particular seems like something that might help new casters who struggle to be seen

Very few people tap into channels. Vast majority of people just browse in home feed.

sure but the users that do are the ones who are looking for new casts/users/etc and can signal boost good ones

platform growth depends on new users sticking around and if no one sees their casts because they are hidden by default in feeds, channels, and replies, they are going to leave
