The ultimate irony is that precisely 0 startups make it where the founder(s) doesn’t look extremely silly and low status during the founding era

Example of someone who accrued actual status as a advisor? Silicon Valley antibodies are pretty good at sniffing out value creation most of the time.

Advisors are way more common outside of SV. Classic tell that the entrepreneur is not SV-native because they will highlight the advisors on a website or a pitch deck. No one cares in 99.9% of cases.
