Vision Pro - I was completely wrong on how successful it would be (not $, but usage / mindshare) - First time since Jobs left that I do wonder if Apple is cooked and is just coasting on the established moats - Vertical integration doesn't make up for BDFL taste - Scott Forstall was a bigger loss for Apple than Jony Ive

right, but without 3rd parties, never takes off as a consumer platform worked for iphone v1 but 2024 is very different

meta has arguably the hottest wearable computer on offer rn with effectively zero 3rd party ecosystem sj was going to keep us all locked up in the browser (your Forstall point is well-taken) consumers buy experiences. not platforms
