Remember when people were arguing with us that since there’s no direct financial incentive to run a Hub no one would run them?

I think this comment is a bit premature and overlooks a powerful motive in crypto - the hopes of a future airdrop. Check back in a decade when DAU is many orders of magnitude larger and running a HUB has significant costs.

Sure, but somewhere between 10-100 independent hubs is sufficient for our scale right now, which seems feasible without any financial incentive

yeah i think it was smart to defer directly incentivising hubs

i bet a very big chunk of these are for airdrop speculation so probably not a good indication of long term network health
