Philip II of France (1180–1223) shines with conquests and expansion. Others like Charles V or Henry IV are either too modern or don’t pair up right.

May I ask what caught your eye about them besides their conquests?

Neither had external conquests. Maybe why I like them. Challenging domestic situations.

should probably dig into a study about the details of their reigns. But the fact that the founder of Warpcast finds internal challenges more appealing than external conquests is pretty thought-provoking for me! :)
