Increasing the number of people Farcaster is reaching without having solved retention (which is a function of supply of interesting and entertaining content) is a recipe for wasting money and time.

I think that's half of it. The other half is feeling like you a screaming into the wind. I got onboarded fairly early at ETHBoston (FID 12626). I casted for few weeks, got no likes, no replies nothing, and then just forgot it Warpcast existed for like a year until my art community from Twitter all aped in. I have no idea how to solve this, but maybe giving brand new users a visibility boost for the first week or something. The dopamine from those notifications pings go a long way.
