PSA We're migrating Warpcast's direct cast system to v2 in the next day or two. Significantly improved performance and reliability. - We are *not* saving v1 direct casts (they're already ephemeral) - Starting tomorrow Warpcast team will be on v2 - We will then onboard a small group of both iOS and Android testers

What does this mean for me? - Save any relevant info in your current direct casts ASAP; again, they have always been ephemeral specifically because we wanted the ability to move quickly with a migration - Update to the latest version of the app whenever we announce v2 is live

What comes next? - Assuming we've sorted out any bugs, we'll be iterating on direct cast UX and bringing direct casts to web soon! - Goal is improved reliability, speed and multi-device all with Signal-level Double Ratchet e2ee and no phone number requirement
