Figured worth making my recent-ish policy explicit: if you're unnecessarily negative, I'm just going to unfollow you. I don't have time to spend fighting.

Criticism and feedback are welcome; but it's possible to provide both without unnecessary amounts of negativity.

Who gets to define necessary amount of negativity?

I’m sure it’s not intentional but seems like a faux-pas disguised to make judgement without having to define one’s actions.

"If I question something that you're doing or criticize, how do I know if you're going to unfollow me?"

FAFO. :)

But in all seriousness, this is not hard for most people. Be civil! Avoid personal attacks! Take a deep breath before firing off a reactionary cast. 

This is all advice I have to give myself, too. And totally reasonable for people to unfollow me for this (or any reason, really).

Sorry I have a bias towards the FAFO lifestyle. Being from a small country town, it was always the rednecks who had limited reasoning skills that would use the FAFO line. It’s an excuse to side step a conversation and leverage power instead.

Doesn’t that seem like we are living in society where genuine conversations will become slowly mitigated out as invaluable traits? Even fear of being dropped cause us to become someone else?

Why not just appreciate that everyone is different and learn to recognize our strengths instead of hyper focusing wellness?
