RE: feed not being timely enough for current “engageable events” like a conversation @christin : Sometimes I wonder if the data-driven way MM has been optimizing the feed locks into a “local maximum” of product quality versus a global maximum which focuses on community/channels

If people cared enough, would use / build other clients focused on those experiences. Revealed preference is people want everything in the home feed.

It’s hard to argue against what you’re saying. It’s just also hard for me to reconcile feed metrics which tend to be short term (ie time in app) vs MM long-term stated strategy (channels/communities) Also I just realized that I posted this in completely the wrong place 😅 it was meant for /latenightcrew
