I hate it when someone posts that this or that will take place on 3pm their-weird-timezone-name.

The only social app that treats dates correctly (i.e. translates them to local time) is Discord. Can we get something like this for Farcaster? If this was at the protocol level, we could treat datetimes as embeds, store them in uinixtimestamp (GMT), and let clients present them as they like. What do you think?

Users won't want to take the time to do it correctly. I suspect clients could auto-convert, but seems lower priority.

It seems that when the app gives them the option and makes it easy, many of them do. Discord servers are full of such examples. I don't see why someone announcing their live stream won't add the date correctly if it was just a matter of clicking button or typing "/".
