What were the closest competitors for the name of the protocol before Farcaster was decided upon? 

Was the extent of far-x / y-cast naming of clients a factor in the name or happy accident?

Original working name was RSS+ and then @ protocol (not even kidding!).

@v came up with the name. I liked that it had sci-fi + broadcast.

Great suggestion @v 👌 definitely fits the vibe here very well
