90%+ are using priority mode (it's the default). Might be even higher.

It would be better if the default setting for such restrictive options was set to "everybody," and users could change it if they needed. I am sure that many users do not even know that this option is active for them.

Priority mode & an emphasis on the importance of interacting with power badges has decreased incentive for organic communication with non power badge users. I have no doubt in the value of learning about the many incredible power badges users, but this change has had a negative impact on user experience for non PBs.

would be really great if it could be made more widely known this is even an option and is on by default. as soon as i discovered it was a thing i found i prefered having it off most the time and im sure many others would to if they even were aware of it.

Power Badge + Default Priority Mode is a chilling combo for some communities. Can attest to the quality of some Japanese posters that can't get power badges.

what about more granular control, like a tolerance slider instead of a binary priority mode it would show 2 or 3 degrees of separation ex: non-PB user has had X amount of interactions with a PB user in a rolling week, they receive % boost which shows up to user with "medium" priority setting
