2 thoughts: - Most people found the notifications useful! (measured by engagement, feedback, etc.) - A smaller group found them annoying—that's reasonable! We're going to give you more control; that said, would encourage you to try other clients that have different notification settings like @jam and @discove

(Also the notification only went out to people who are actively minting onchain, so if you're active on Ethereum, you didn't get it.)
