We will be working with developers / projects that want to give users airdrops.

We’ll indicate what the developer is hoping to accomplish with the airdrop.

Users that 1) opt in 2) do the desired action—use a frame, engage in a channel, etc.—will start to develop reputation as a good user to offer future airdrops to.

Users that opt in, receive airdrops and don’t do the desired action will develop a reputation as a user to avoid offering airdrops. 

Ultimately, developers get to decide who to target (the data is permissionless). 

But I suspect airdrops on Farcaster will start to reward usage / go forward alignment.

How do you avoid a swarm of AI bots automating the  behavior to receive airdrops?

Obviously if you try to spammy game the above activity, we’re going to detect it and you’ll be less likely.

It’s proof of work. Work in this case has a quality component. There are no shortcuts.

Most other crypto protocols are lazy. So the bots are lazy. They will get more sophisticated. We'll detect the new tactics and adjust.
