I expect Warpcast's market share to decrease in 2025, i.e. Farcaster's decentralization will increase. This will primarily be driven by @base shipping their Farcaster integration and bringing their large existing userbase. Would encourage people to try out other clients today: @recaster-fc @herocast @farquest @fireflyapp

I think Warpcast market share will decrease eventually but 2025 is a long shot for meaningful movement. The coinbase wallet integration is exciting first step as I am bullish on how social and defi are merging. But, I don’t think wallet incentives line up with social incentives. Additionally, the wallet product designers are going to have to do the lord’s work to get users excited and not confuse the UX. I imagine they are learning a lot from @interface.

yes a lot of work. but they are rebuilding from the ground up, so not trying to shoehorn into existing app

Firefly's belief is that the chains are already social. We just need to find ways to make the who/what/why easy to understand so others can jump in to the action. This transaction is a swap. This wallet is this farcaster user. Now, let's give you space to talk about it. Farcaster comments on a copy trade. Let's turn this debate into a polymarket bet. And so on. Today, we play 1v1 in wallets and team ball on social. In the future, we'll play team ball in finance too. A coinbase wallet rebuild for a socialfi experience makes a a ton of sense to contextualize what's going on so new people can get in the game.
