"I wish I could watch this 30+ minute video on Farcaster" 1. The work required to make video play in the background, not lose your spot, chapter markers, etc. is significant! 2. Farcaster doesn't penalize links in the algo -- so easy to link to a YouTube video (which has a boatload of nice features like automatic transcription, clipping, link to timestamp, download offline, watchlists, etc.) 3. Short videos in-feed, long videos in the better tools Similar to long cast vs. posting on @paragraph

I agree it’s demanding to do all this for native videos, which also will be super heavy if more than XX minutes… but maybe it could be done for Youtube videos similarly to how Telegram integrates them? So you wouldn’t leave Warpcast! PiP also would be nice to have

YouTube just works in the background? You get PiP on Android at the OS level?

On OS level only if you have YT premium 😅 That’s why I mentioned Telegram, which handles in-app video PiP on all OSs, including YT videos! It’d be a bit of work, and for sure low priority, but i assume it’d be less impacting than hosting and handling all the vids natively!
