common pushback against nuclear is that nucleur is only economical for countries without sunlight and fossil f that are industrial(izing) what's the argument against that pushback @julia or if anyone knows

most countries don't have large supplies of fossil fuels and the sun doesn't shine at night

I guess I'm asking about the US specifically I'm pro nucleur cause I'm kind of a meathead but can't quite respond when people say we have sunlight+batteries, oil, GNC and aren't industrial

if you have fossil fuels, almost certainly the better fuel source most countries have to import, so at that point, while still cheaper, you're dependent on global trade, etc. > batteries not at scale yet, super expensive
