What “rules”? We have laws. And we have a process for deciding if said laws are broken.

I understand that laws exist to determine legal accountability, but I’m talking more about the ethical or moral side of things. Even if someone doesn't break the law, they can still be held accountable for their actions in other ways by the public, for example, or in terms of their character. Doing good things doesn't necessarily cancel out bad actions, and I think it's important to acknowledge both. I'm not saying people should be punished without due process, just that we shouldn't ignore bad behavior just because someone does good things too.
