That assumes that the revealed preference is bad? Revealed preference is about figuring out reality and building for it.

I think the assertion is that "reality" is constrained by the people running experiments in a way that can colour the results. I'll illustrate it in a joke I told on /gmfarcaster Q: How many @dwr.eth does it take to change a light bulb? A: Two. One to install a strobe light and the other to declare that lack of lighting is a revealed preference. I'm being a bit unkind to you with the joke (it's a joke!) but I do think it illustrates the OP issues.
