In non-obvious cases, how do you decide when a thesis isn’t working vs needs more time / different tactics?

Mostly gut feel informed by quantitative and qualitative feedback.

How do you decide whether to keep betting on a priority? Easy when clearly working or failed. Hard to tell between hasn’t worked yet vs won’t work. 

Asking for farcaster, but also as general  founder decision framework.
