what are the main functions you use as an editor? trying to research what AI tools are capable of with editing now

i use adobe premiere pro, but not sure what do you mean by functions?
what i do most is: chopping clips, putting on some overlayed transitions, making the clips go with the music, add captions.

yeah that's what I meant by functions. which of these do you think could be theoretically done by AI with minimal work/basic instructions from you?

i think captions (runway has this feature, though i haven’t used it) could help the ai better understand which unnecessary clips to cut.
for sound, i guess there’s already an ai workaround in premiere.

it’s just complex to fully automate all this since it still requires my supervision…so i just stick with doing it manually.
